TAPE MEASURE CONTEST Supplies needed are several 60 inch cloth or plastic tape measures. (depending on the number of teams you wish to have) Divide chapter up into teams. For each loss by a member of a team, that team gets to cut one inch off of their tape measure. The first team to eliminate their tape measure completely wins.
ANIMALS IN THE BARNYARD We took poster paper and made four little barns (using computer clip art) We divided the chapter up into four teams. When a member of the team came in with a weight loss, they got to add an animal beside their barn (we used little felt stick on animals you can find at craft stores) At the end of six weeks, the team with the most animals in the barnyard wins. BUDDY TREE CONTEST Team members are drawn at random - 2 members on each team. Each team is given a tree with empty branches (you can do this on poster paper if you wish) The goal is to add leaves to the buddy tree Each week they had a certain number of things to do (lose weight, bring in food sheet, stay for meeting, stay the same, or sending a note. They could each earn up to five leaves for their tree (10 weekly) At end of contest one with most leaves wins
