Special thanks got to Area Coordinator Nancy Hughes, who is one of the best coordinators around and is always on the ball as far as updates are concerned. Due to webspace limits, we had to condense these and some of the things that apply only to our local area have been deleted.
These are effective 9/11
1. As of January 1, 2012 - annual membership increases from $26 to $28 for full memberships and from $13.00 to $14.00 for half price memberships. If you have a member whose renewal date is due on or before Dec. 31st, please make sure it gets to your area coordinator. If they go in late, they will be charged $28.00 Any renewal dated January 1st or later must pay the $28 even if they pay in December.
2. New National Rule effective January 2012 (9B) there is now a provision that allows non member caregivers of tops members to attend TOPS activities.
3. There are changes to the chapter manual. You should receive this (2 copies) in with the resume packet you get from national. Please throw the old ones out.
4. A new rhinestone tops flag pin and tops and kops pendants will soon be available in TOPS news. Also new award items are being added.
5. Door signs are being designed to display at the door of your chapter each week. These should be mailed to the leader in February.
6 TOPS website is under construction and wonderful changes are being unveiled. Check out the recipe link in particular.
7. A chapter leader and one other chapter member may be granted access to the secure area of the TOPS website. Each March, the name of the Designate are deleted from the computer and theleader must resubmit the name.
8. Chapter programs - are now on line for 51 - 86. The others have been archived and can only be accessed by Coordinator or Captain.
9. TOPS National Rules are printed in the center of the December 2011 TOPS news. These should be removed and saved.
10. In February, all chapter programs will be posted on the website and printed in TOPS News.
